Roku express stick

I believe Roku Express stick is indedepent manufacurer and U Tube will continue to be available using this piece of equipment unlike the Amazon Fire stick. There seems to be several different types of Roku sticks what is the difference and are they easy to operate. What additional channels can you receive free if you have not already got a smart TV. The cheapest price I can see currently find for the basic roku express stick is £29.95

Not an expert and so here's a recent comparison of their devices

I'm not a great fan of the Roku interface (same one used with NowTV boxes) and its a bit sluggish (I've an old streaming stick) but it provides access to all the apps I use.

As an aside I've also got a Chromecast as standbye and may plug it in to demonstrate to family "hey google, play breaking bad on living room TV". Or perhaps The Crown may be more suitable for OH's family ;-)

AFAIK there are only 2 types of Roku stick - https://www.roku.com/en-gb/products, click on compare and the differences are there.

I wonder if latest Roku devices have a Bluetooth earphone facility or the remote you can plug earphones into, like my old Roku puck. I use this. Meanwhile my Fire stick on 2nd TV has a quite good Bluetooth earphone connection.
