Boiler problem

I've got a Worcester 28i junior boiler. Heating works fine but when I turn on the warm water the fault indicator starts flashing after a minute or so and the water turns cold. I then have to switch the boiler off and on. Tried resetting it yesterday and it seemed to fix the problem but this morning it's not working again. Any easy tips for fixing it before I call an engineer?

By "turning on the warm water" you mean turning on a hot tap. When you turn on the tap do you get a boiler demand light? It could be the water sensor that has failed. Since your central heating is working we can (probably) discount a flame or ignition failure. Unless you have experience and competency, suggest it is time to call in a professional. Maybe you could call Worcester technical department?0

Yes, I mean turning on the hot tap. Boiler ignites, water gets warm for a minute or so, then boiler locks up and starts flashing and the water goes cold. I think I will take your advice about calling a professional as a few Google searches doesn't reveal any easy fixes.0
