Shower leak

I bought a new shower head and hose yesterday...screwed the shower head to the hose but it's leaking...what should I get to stop the water leaking please?

Comments

  • Did you replace the washers? Normally there is a washer on the join betweent the head and the hose and another where the hose attaches to the shower unit. Perhaps you didn't replace the washer, or perhaps the washer is pinched and therefore not making a seal?

No, it came with new washers which are in, I've reattached it a few time but it is still leaking.

    Return then as probably faulty.
  • Buy another 1/2" rubber shower hose washer, and fit 2 to the leaking joint. Some of the modern connections are deeper than the older ones, and won't fully tighten without two washers.

You might even try reusing the old ones, if you still have them.
