Hi everyone, hope you all had a good christmas and that your ironing orders are flying in!
I just have a question for you, have any of you had curtains in your orders and if you have what did you charge. I have just finished an order with 3 pairs of curtains but I've no idea how much to ask for these. I was thinking about charging the same as a king size duvet cover, what do you think?
  • Hi everyone, i am a newbie here and am thinking of starting an ironing service as i just lost my job before xmas. I am in the south Lanarkshire area and would be grateful for any tips on how to get started.

I am thinking of setting up this business in my own area East Kent. I would like to start a family soon and need to ensure my income stays as my full time wage to ensure I can keep my home. I have an insurance quote and a few ideas of pricing however any other tips would be appreaciated.

I cant find anyone in my area to do the Ironing, me I keep trying but being a typical guy I always burn things .

I have tried all the local phone books etc and well half of them have either packed up or they dont answer the phone etc

So far I have tried 20+ and not one can do it and they are toooo busy or gone out of business.

There must be a better way to deal with the Supply and Demand.

I think this thread is a great idea. Also can anyone teach me to Sew buttons on.

Hey how about a Masterclass for Guys to do Ironing and Sewing or even cleaning. Never know what to clean the fridge out with Bleach, Disinfectant etc. Okay so Im stupid when it comes to cleaning but not for wanting to try. I think we should have an Aggie and whatsername (how clean is your house programme but about ironing etc .

Its little basics like this that lead to a better life as I always seem to buy trousers 10 inches too long and would love to turn them up myself.

OK, what would you pay for each type of item and what sort of service would you expect ? pick up and delivery ?
  • IM really considering starting a ironing business from home but need to know what would I need to get started apart from a iron and ironing board of course lol:rotfl:.

Are there any good sites with starter kits etc?
