I love ironing and so I think I may start up an ironing service, not sure if theres much call for it in my area.
  • hello chaps, i have been truly inspired to find a forum of such positive people. I am in the process of starting up a housekeeping / ironing agency service. My forte is getting the business from private homeowners/b&bs/hotels/companies etc. i have about thirty people on my database and am always looking for more recruits. if you guys want some xtra work in the ironing department, then i would be happy to get you some work. i obviously charge similar rates to yourselves, however, as i act as agent, i take a percentage, .......just a thought
  • and i am in the south cheshire area......so if you are nearby i can deliver it to you......it helps if you know where i am. Christian
  • Hi, can anyone recommend a descent ironing board. My new steam generator seems that good that over the last few weeks - infact since Christmas it has caused my ironing board to bend. It is still useable at the moment is starting to really bow so i should probably find a new one soon,
    Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

Thank you Steph i'll have a look

I've been doing this a few months now and have built up some regualr people. However today i met a new person for the first time, drop off his ironing at 10.30 and wanted to collect at 5 pm on his way home. I have few things to do today to we agreed tomorrow at 5 would be best. Big relief as looking at what he wants ironing - 75 shirts and 3 sets of bedding. Firstly i'm amazed that someone owns 75 shirts and he obviously has no idea how long ironing takes to want 6 hour turn around when i told him i was busy.

  • Morning all,

How did you all start ironing for others? This is something that i have been thinking about for awhile now as it's a past time i enjoy doing. Everyone think i'm mad :cheesy:

    Any information will be helpful.

    Regards
  • Ooooppppppssssss, My ironing board just died and i'm meant to have all this ironing finished for collection at 5 pm. My sister is on here way round to lend me her ironing board but i'm going to be pushing it to get it finished, eeekekkkk!!!!
