It was definitely life insurance that two of them wanted to sell me so "all" was a bit of an exaggeration, two thirds would be more accurate.
FAs would not surprise me. Most of them were life assurance company agents. IFAs would surprise me though. I was in a meeting of local IFAs earlier in the year and not one of the IFAs in the room did insurance themselves. It was left to the mortgage/insurance advisers within their firm.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Were these IFAs or FAs?

The first one was definitely an IFA. The second was an IFA but tried to punt me on to a colleague to get life insurance. I suspect that as I am based in Aberdeen and work in the oil industry that he might have been trying to go for anything he and his company could get because it happened during the downturn. Then again I might just be too cynical.0 -
It turns out I have another investment. My grandparents bought me £10 of premium bonds when I was born. I'm not holding my breath but you never know I could be a millionaire. :rotfl:0
