Smart parking

Received a PCN for unauthorised parking, a parking ticket was purchased, which we have to hand, a over payment sum of £5:00p paid into the machine which took the expired time to 08:00hrs of the following day, the registration number was not input correctly as the machine was poorly lit and the buttons sticking, the display was cleared and the correct registration number was input, the machine still printed a incomplete number with one letter missing. Were do we stand with this PCN, could you please advise us, thank you.

just send the blue text appeal from the NEWBIES sticky thread near the top of this forum , appealing as keeper

add an extra note stating that

the registration machine was faulty with sticking buttons and incorrect receipts, a copy of the paid for receipt is included with this appeal

Use careful wording as suggested by Redx. No re-writing it to say 'I did this' nor 'my receipt'.

Don't be grateful though, they haven't cancelled for a goodwill gesture, but because - rather like the current BHAFC attack, sadly for fans like me - they can't beat a keeper!
