Please can someone help; I can't work out how to switch the predictive text on and it's driving me nuts
!
I get to the screen that says predictive text is switched off and I click on English and highlight predictive text, but it doesn't switch on.
Please can someone give me an idiots guide on how to do this.
Many thanks.

Have looked on the web but not got anywhere with solving the problem yet:(Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
The user guide page on predictive text says the way to do it is what you have tried, but also includes this line
"To switch between predictive and traditional text, press # repeatedly."
Have you tried that method?0 -
Select Options > Predictive text and the language.
Start writing a word. When the word you want is shown, press 0.
To change a word, press * repeatedly until the word you want is shown.
If the word you want isn't in the dictionary, write the word, press * repeatedly to skip all unwanted words, select Spell, and write the word. The word is added to the dictionary.
To switch between predictive and traditional text, press # repeatedly.

Is predictive text switched 'off' the default for this phone and you only activate it by writing a text and pressing the # key?
I thought you would have to switch it on, but simply can't get it to do that.

The way it used to work on Nokia's was pressing the # repeatedly, it would then scroll between capitals, normal, numbers, predictive, there used to be a series of small lines in the top left of the screen next to the letters when on predictive.0

It does scroll when pressing the # but doesn't put it on predictive text:( Never mind, I will keep trying.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
