PPI redress

Hi looking for advice I filled in the ppi checker with capital one I then got an email from them saying I had ppi & they sent me a link to use resolver which I did I’ve now had a letter from capital one saying they have as a gesture of goodwill (but without admission of liability) that they have decided to offer a redress payment & this has been offered without a full investigation into the complaint they have sent a cheque for £15.04 I’m just confused by this if anyone can shed any light or offer advice I’ve not cashed the cheque yet as this would be deemed by them as acceptance in full of my complaint the thing I suppose that’s bothering me is the fact they are saying as a goodwill gesture & without admission of liability it’s just alarm bells for me but the whole redress thing is confusing me
Thank you in advance

They've obviously paid you back the PPI you paid (plus interest) because the tiny amount is not worth them investigating.
If this is the amount their records show you paid, then you won't be getting any more whatever you do. Understand that the redress is defined by the regulator, it's not somehow negotiable.
If you don't have any documentation of your own to contradict the amount offered, then you have no alternative other than to accept.0 -
Thank you 😊 I’ve only just started claiming back ppi so finding it all a tad confusing but I guess the more I look & read into it the more sense it will all make & I guess the banks won’t want to make anymore mistakes considering the amount of fines they’ve been getting 👍🏼0
