You obviously purported to be the account holder in these E-Mails..?
Yes.
Same as for Halifax. I asked if I had PPI, they haven't disclosed it unlike the other companies.
I am doing them on behalf of family members.0 -

Well I would imagine most of them do (in my experience thus far it has been Barclays and Capital One), because they have a PPI check section that just requires you to fill in a name and address and some vague details to which they reply with a yes or no. Apart from Halifax, who said they need my dad to fill out the entire complaint form before they can give him a simple yes or no, ignoring the fact he doesn't even know whether he is complaining yet as they've not told him or me whether he has PPI, which makes no sense but apparently is the process.0 -

Well to them he has asked because it's his details that were on the online form, the response was addressed to him and he opened it. Me typing out his name and address on a computer doesn't make any difference to anything (unless Halifax are psychic) and doesn't explain why an entire complaint form with several pages of irrelevant questions need to be answered to give an answer to a question that is pretty basic.Moneyineptitude wrote: »No.
I think you may have to rely on any documentation your father still has..
Yeah looks that way, but I'll just ring them again tomorrow and hand over the phone to my dad and hopefully we'll get an adviser that knows what he is doing.0
