£1000 Capital Radio but confused

Hi,

I got a phone call on Saturday re the win a £1000 with Lidl comp at Capital Radio below

http://win.capitalfm.com/lidl/

Went live on air and was told i'd won a £1000 etc and then after the live bit the presenter said i guess they'll call you back to discuss getting the money to you. No details were taken, address, bank etc at the time and i've had no phone call since Saturday from them regarding it. I did go to the capital website and found a phone number but when i called that got put through to a switchboard who didn't know anything and put me through to an automated line for capital north west. Nobody answering there and i have no idea if it was regional anyway because was just on the main site from a comp posted here. Has anyone won with them before and could it be that it was a weekend i got the call that no details were taken? Not sure what to do or who to call now. I was so flustered i just remember him saying 'i guess someone will call you'.

  • I wish I could help, but I haven't a clue...
Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Bumping in the hope there'll be Capital Radio winners on here who might be able to enlighten you

  • I once won some money on Magic Radio and did the whole on air bit and then when they said "bye" to me on air they literally put the phone down and didn't call back for atleast a day, i think it was. I did the same and called a Switch board when I started panicking and they hadn't heard of the competition. I just waited, panicking.....
The only difference with my competition was that I think that they did already have my details from the entry form so I got a cheque in the post a few weeks after. It was nearly 2 years ago and i was a bit flustered so I'm struggling to remember now but I definitely remember being very confused that they had hung up on me without taking any information, or giving me any information!

I won £2,000 earlier this year with Clyde radio. I got the first phone call at 9 am and they said someone would phone back by 10 am. I got the call about 11 am and they just took my bank details and the money was in my bank account by lunchtime.

I won £5000 with capital a few years ago, it was capital cash call so live on air, I got a call a week later followed by an email confirming everything then the money into my bank 3 weeks after that.

I'm sure you will be fine they do this type of comp all the time.

    Well done!!

    xx

  • I was panicking for nothing lol They called today and said a cheque would be sent out but that it would be within the next 28 days. So not direct to bank and quite a while to wait. Very happy about the win though. Thanks for all the help :) I did win with a baur radio station once and that was into the bank direct. I guess as long as i get it in the end it doesn't matter how long it takes xx The good thing is that Capital radio isn't owned by Bauer and so i can still enter the other radio station comps :)
