Dodgy boiler engineer or bad luck?

Hi,

I have a 7 year old logic combi boiler. I had it serviced last year for the first time and everything was fine. About two weeks ago I used the same engineer to service it again(i'd informed him of the fact that it had recently lost pressure and was only giving me cold water until i re-pressurised it. He carried out the service again saying everything was fine and that he'd done something with the expansion tank(cant remember what).

I paid the invoice the day it came through the post, later that day when i ran the bath my towels were wet due to my boiler leaking. It has never leaked before. Since then I have rang his landline and spoke to a lady(i think his wife) who didnt seem that interested and said she'd get him to call me and that he was busy fitting a boiler elsewhere. Long story short, I have rang her again and still received no phone call. He also hasnt answered his mobile phone on a number of occasions(even though he took a call at my house)

I'm going to ring him again, when i get through to him how should i approach the situation? Is this something that he should be looking at for free or should I be looking at a call out charge. The leak only seems to happen when i run the bath.

Thanks for reading.

Well, heating engineers are usually pretty busy this time of year, and fixing a mistake for free isn't as lucrative as taking on a new job (which shouldn't matter I know).

Have you tried witholding your number before you call?
