The Plaza lounge has showers included. They provide the towels too. I have spent many hours in the Plaza lounge and it is excellent, however, if I wanted a good kip, I’d get a room in a transit lounge.

The transit hotels include showers but the cheapest rooms aren’t en-suite.
They have "budget" rooms which aren't ensuite, but they are singles, and S$55 each (about £30), half the price of the standard ensuite double.

So a couple would pay the same price for 2 budget single rooms as for a en-suite double. So a no-brainer really, unless they want to sleep apart...

If arriving at 7.30am local time, you’ll most likely want to sleep, so the transit hotel sounds like a good idea.
