Boiler repair options?
Hi,
we have a Baxi duotec boiler with a 7 yr warranty...4ys old.We pay £100/yr service ( plus fire service incl.) We are waiting for our 3rd callout from baxi tech...since last Thursday, coming tomorrow. Hopefully he replaces faulty bit then....but freezing weather and kids on way home for Xmas make me wonder If British gas may be a better option for breakdown cover. We may have to cancel kids visit!!
Any experiences of B Gas ...or similar appreciated.

I have British Gas for a rental. They are good but pricey after the first year. I now pay over £40 a month for plumbing heating & drains.
I suspect you might as well stick with Baxi, as they should have a better stock of parts for Baxis than British Gas.0 -
I am not sure what added value there would be in using BG (or some other third party)? The Baxi man will have full access to the Company’s support team. What is the fault? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks.. the rads dont' heat up. But the boiler does fire up to provide hot water. The Honeywell diverter valves seem ok...must be some sort of diverter device inside machine not sending hot water to radiators. I'm ok with Baxi...just waiting 5 days for the engineer to arrive when weather is so cold...and it's Xmas!0
