I can't believe what argos have done!

So I recently came into some money so thought I'd treat my self to a Samsung 65 Inch Curved tv and I got it home and I accidentally dropped it and the screen smashed and I took it back for a refund and explained what happened and they wouldn't even refund me

Can I sue them as clearly something went wrong here or should I contact my credit card company?

If I do a charge back will I be banned from Argos as I heard they have done this before?

    Thats shocking.
I once bought a mug from Argos and dropped it in my kitchen resulting in not only a broken mug but also coffee covering the entire kitchen.
Argos were quick to respond and sent a team of builders round and fitted a complete new kitchen as well as redecorating it.
When they had finished i complained the rest of my house looked drab compared to the new kitchen so they decorated my whole house for me out of goodwill.

When the house was finished i also complained that my disabled grandmother wanted to visit and see the house so the bought us a new car so we could collect her.

Im suprised they wont help you as it was clearly their fault.
Take it to your local paper and shame them.

Surely you'd claim off your contents insurance? Can I ask why you'd think Argos should be responsible for your accident?
  • Shocking. They should give you compensation for the distress.
