Morrison’s - purchase of iTunes gift card

Hi,
My mother bought me some iTunes gift cards from Morrison’s but I’m afraid I can’t use them. She took them back to morissons for a refund (they didn’t have the Apple store gift cards) but they refused - saying it was an issue for Apple. Apple say that it isn’t their problem and it is up to Morissons.
Where does she stand with this? The cards are untouched, and she has full receipts, paid for by credit card with the serial numbers of the activated cards.
Any recommendations on how to get these refunded?
Regards

No rights to refund. Bought in store and policies stand. Sell on ebay or reseller sites to recoup and rebuy.0

Why can't you use them, don't be afraid to say....0

What? Not even credit notes?0

Anyone you know who'd buy them off you?
No right to refund for change of mind purchases, purely down to the store's goodwill. Morrison's terms and conditions specifically exclude gift cards/vouchers from their exchange and refund 30 day returns policy. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
The problem with these gift cards is they are not active until bought. So when they are paid for the become live. This leaves the retailer liable to Apple as the card cant be deactivated.0

You could try and sell it online - https://www.zeek.me/0

Shop can't refund them as they have no way to check if they have been used or not.
Anyone could just take back old used cards and claim they bought the wrong one.0 -
