Having to claim PIP during an existing claim, is it legal?

That's incorrect info. With a PIP review a PIP2 form isn't sent, what you get is a shortened version of that form and it's called the AR1 form. It's a simple multiple choice questions form and is totally different to the PIP2 form. All PIP reassessments are treated as a new claim, with the caveat that your existing award continues until such time as a new decision is made. You have to start from the beginning again and complete the PIP2 form and submit your evidence etc all over again.0 -

Well I’ve just had my review (3 years into a 4 year award) and I was sent a PIP2 to complete with the condition that if I didn’t return it within 28 days my existing award would cease. That was in October. Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0 -
Did you report a change of circumstances? I can assure you that a PIP2 form isn't sent out for a review. I know this because i had my review last year. I also knowof many others that have recently been sent to AR1 form with their review.Well I’ve just had my review (3 years into a 4 year award) and I was sent a PIP2 to complete with the condition that if I didn’t return it within 28 days my existing award would cease. Is my reaction bizarre of that of the DWP????
It is possible that the wrong letter and/or pack was sent out. That could easily be resolved by a simple phone call, always assuming that it was conducted in a reasonable manner, unlike your tone in this thread. The whole world isn't conspiring against you!0 -
It’s just possible that your wife may be assessed for PIP & be better off than DLA.
There is no contract at all- your wife is currently entitled to benefit and the DWP are paying it.0
