Hi there just wondering if i could have some advice i recently took out a loan with hitachi and i made my first months payment as normal, however i then changed my direct debit details to my new bank barclays however i mistakenly put the wrong account number in (i know my error) anyway the loan had missed it's payment on the 13th of the month however i have sorted it out as of today. I was just wondering whether this will affect my credit file, hitachi can't tell me yes or no whether it will, however i am assuming that it was 1 day in arrears this will have not been notified to the cra's any help on this would be immensely appreciated

No way of knowing other than by checking your files over coming weeks.

They should be able to tell you - is the loan direct with Hitachi or with an underwriter?

Check your report in a months time to see what your payment is recorded as (late, on time etc).

It's with Hitachi they said they could not tell me whether it would i just think it would be a little unfair as it was 1 day late

Unfair maybe - but accurate in terms of reporting.

Give it a month and see
