NRAM Claim Rejected?

Hi All,

I recently raised an enquiry with NRAM regarding a mortgage and loans I had in 2003 - 2008 approximately. I received a letter confirming I held a PPI policy for which they included the policy reference number too.

I raised a complaint as I didn't think I'd taken this out. I heard back from them for which they said the claim has been rejected by Pinnacle because of "no duplicates"?

The customer service agent read the letter out for me on the phone as I have yet to receive it, but apparently they have found a PPI policy under my name, but when referred to Pinnacle they couldnt find anything using the details supplied?

I know I can now escalate this to the ombudsman, which will likely be my next step but has anyone got any advice or past experience like this?

Thanks!

First thing is to continue to expect failure. Most MPPI complaints fail and the FOS reject most of them too.

Evidence is key. The FOS will ask them to check again but if no evidence is available then the complaint wont get anywhere. Do you have any evidence you paid it? Such as on your bank statements.
