Advice needed for Cairo excursion

Hi,

We are planning to got to Sharm-el-Sheikh in November and was wondering the best place to book a Cairo excursion by plane. I am hoping to book whilst i am there.
Any advice appreciated.

you can either book it with your tour ops or any local tour ops that are there, I would recommend longwoods if you can get them, you could do it independantly but it's a mightmare if you are not used to the hassle that egypt has to offer

Hi

I did this trip and just booked it through Thomson. I did see the excursions advertised whilst I was there but they were actually more expensive than Thomsons were, and I felt that if anything were to go wrong (enter morbid thoughts here) then we would have an English speaking tour operator to deal with rather than an independant Egyptian one. Are you going to see the pyramids?? Its fab! You can also go by bus but it takes something like 7 hours each way!!

stacey21 - Hopefully going to see the pyramids, cairo museum etc. by plane as I don't fancy spending 5-7 hours each way by road. I'll look at thomsons.
