Any investments in S&S ISAs should be if you intend to hold them for the long term or for 5 to 10 years at the very least. I see that you said in your subsequent post that you are not looking for long term investments so investing in equity/bond funds within a S&S ISA may not be for you.Anyone any thoughts on low cost stocks and shares ISA ie Tracker, the only one who seems to be getting a decent return on my funds is the FA!0 -
Taking the worst three years of the HL conservative growth portfolio would still yield around 5% return over only three years.0

A rising tide floats all boats. It's not hard to achieve a positive return during a period of sustained market growth, the real surprise would be if it hadn't. Conditions could be very different going forward and the tide will go out at some point. If you are not looking for long term investments then using long term investments like equities would be a foolish choicebillpaul812 wrote: »Taking the worst three years of the HL conservative growth portfolio would still yield around 5% return over only three years.0
