Civil Enforcement ltd, NEED HELP PLEASE!!

In October I got a parking ticket at university in Preston for £40 from civil enforcement ltd. I was late and literally had nowhere to park and my friend had my permit in her car who wasn't in on this day!
Everyone told me to ignore it and 3 letters later Ive received a letter stating that if I don't pay £120 within 14 days then they will either take me to court/get the bailiffs/seize my car. Everyone I speak to is still telling me to ignore it but now im really panicking so could do with some advice on what to do? could I appeal? should I ignore? Im so worried

Not very welcoming advice on here is it. Would it be too much trouble to ask where this ‘newbies’ thread is or will I get told to use my brain again?0

Everyone is asked not to start a new thread here until after reading the Newbies FAQ thread.
