wow!
just googled it and fortunately i dont have any of those conditions, and hope i will never need oneNice to save.0 -
well , contacted tax credits today
was told - not entitled as based on last years income, despite this years income being lower, but not £2000 lower., however lower than
£ 15,250 annual income
advisor surprised when i told him already received exempt cert this year until october.
worried now ,, he said may have to pay back costs because i used the cert, which according to him i was not entitled to but was sent by them.
can they do this,?
the cert. was sent by them, so its not my fault.Nice to save.0 -
In short yes if they believe you were awarded a benefit/tax credit that you were not entitled to they will try their best to claim it back0

My understand is that if the exemption certificate has been issued you can use it until it expires, even if it is later deemed to have been issued incorrectly.0

thats exactly what i thought, as no incorrect info was given and they sent the certNice to save.0
