End of car finance inspection

Hi all

Our finance has ended and we didnt take uo the final payment option so the car is being collected today. The car has no damage, no marks and is under mileage.

I hear we need to sign paperwork after inspection....any watch outs or advice....what should i be looking for before signing

Thank you

  • Take video's of inside and out to prove there are no dings, dents or rips.

The main thing is that you watch them inspecting it, and you get to see what it says in the report. Don't just let them take it away and inspect it later.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Agree as much of any damage etc as you can at the time, before collection + loads of pics, video etc

If they inspect the car and ask you to sign

    1) read what it says and don't sign unless it's accurate
    2) get them to sign it too
    3) keep a copy with their signature on it (do you have a printer/photocopier in case they only bring one copy?)

That way if the driver scratches it on the way back, you have his signature confirming there was no scratch when he collected.
