Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring

Now the jingle hop has begun

    Morning lovelies

Thanks for the good wishes re my hip appointment yesterday.:A They obviously worked as the doctor has put me straight on to the list which I didn't expect for another few months at least she did manipulate it a bit which hurt like hell but it was worth it. She sent me for an x ray at the hospital so its now just a matter of patience Only small downside is she has referred me to a hospital in another area.. it is a specialist orthopaedic hospital so i can see why but i'm already worrying about getting there and back.
No sign of Wolfie Floss :D but ill look again when Im back there tonight

So tonight is our book club christmas party back at the rugby stadium which Im really looking forward too. We got all inclusive tickets which includes a very nice menu, all drinks and a disco :j Its a year since I set the group up and I cant believe what a lovely group of friends I have now :)

Do have a huge list of things I must do before tonight including a hair and nails appointment which will take up a couple of hours and lots of cleaning. Thats the price of my laziness yesterday

TA so sorry you are in the wars right now I can only offer you my thoughts and hope things improve for you both

Holly sympathise with the no sleep problem hope you can get a lot more tonight

Have a great day all and enjoy the biggest party day of the year

    Good morning all,

Yesterday's plans went well so on to today's "to do" list. Today is strip my bed (just done that), wash and dry the bedding and make the bed up with clean stuff, visit the nurse to have my dressing changed, go to Asda for some last minute bits because I'm not going near there next week, put petrol in my car ready for my sister's visit, marzipan two Christmas cakes and make some brownies.

Csarina antibiotics make me really tired too. I spent most of the week in bed during the last course.....I hope you feel a bit livelier today.
Lainey how lovely for you and Mr Lainey that you have the boys over for Christmas this year. I'm excited for you!
JackieO fingers crossed that Frank gets home. There's just no place like home is there?
HHester I have a universal sign language gesture I'd like to show to the people who upset you yesterday. Unfortunately I don't think MSE emojis contain it but I bet you can guess. They're guilty of discrimination by the way.
TA and Mr TA Hugs. Lotsa hugs.

Best go and make a start. Take care all of you.

    Morning all,

Firstly, catching up on yesterday, Gers/NannyWindow - pink custard? Surely not?! Was it like Angel Delight?

I made my cake last night. Realised I only had 1 egg and I didn't want to leave, so I improvised. It's a different consistency but it's edible. My friend is coming over tonight for pizza, cake and Xbox.

Again, I didn't go to the gym this morning as my mate is still not well. Enjoying the long lies.

Working tomorrow and off Sunday. Actually going for a test drive on Sunday for a nice car, really nice car which is only a fraction more expensive on what I'm currently paying but the new one is much better on fuel, so it should balance out.

TA - I just wish I could help in someway. Such difficult times, particularly at this time of the year, and you're doing amazing at keeping the chin up. You're an inspiration.
redruby - Even I now look forward to your takeaway and wine Fridays!
Cranky - A busy day today, good luck with it all.

    Morning everyone,

Bit later getting on today, no real reason everything just seems to have taken longer to do and only just had brekkie.
We need to get out and about this morning as well, I want to stock up on dog food etc so don't have to worry about it until the new year so that's on the list, have a last few cards to get in the post and also need wrapping paper. I thought that I had picked some up in the sales but blowed if I can find it, perhaps I am thinking of the year before!
Later need to get over to see Lulu, my beloved is coming with me and said that he will clear her field for me as my tendinitis is really playing up. It's got a lot worse since I came off my girlie and landed on it, it's got to the point now that it's affecting the strength in my arm and hand which being the right one isn't good, think that I will go to the docs and see if I can get a referral for some physio.
My thoughts are with TA you have so much on your plate m'dear, hugs x
Thanks Cranky we are a tad excited :D

Have a good day folks x
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially those who suffer like me with sleep issues and Mr & Mrs TA.

I hope you have a good day with Becky Dumpling, my two girls were awful horders, one married, her house is always pristine, my other daughter is tidy but her daughter is well worse that she was as a teenager and she is 24!!

Still feeling the effects of those tablets, if it does not wear off over the weekend I will be making an appointment at the Drs. I am wondering if my back pain is associated with my weight, I am conscious that over the past 12 months I have put on some weight.

I got yesterdays laundry partly dry, another load to go out today, I plan to change the bed tomorrow, Sunday is supposed to be a good day. I also have towels to wash.

No real plans for the day, it is 2 years today since Nicholas died so a quiet day.

Fish and chips for supper tonight.

Morning all, been a while since I posted but have been reading, inertia after the virus I had I think.I want to send hugs to the TAs and Csarina and anyone feeling poorly.

We had so much rain yesterday, onto snow in parts.Had a bad frost overnight and the paths are lethal.Luckily I managed to find my ice trax to go over my dogwalking boots so managed to keep upright but kept my eyes peeled for cats in case Ly1a fancied chasing one

DH and DS2 are working outside today ,they have been for a week,DS has started with a cold and was in a foul mood before they set off.Good news is they got paid for the last one this week so we will be able to eat over Christmas :jI can get a last few bits for the DGC too.
DH and I had our long awaited visit to the Manchester markets.Went on the train around lunch time yesterday.Usually we tend to go over a weekend but its always a crush,so it was much pleasanter. We shared a Flammkuchen and then had a burger later on.I had Hot choc with Baileys & DH had gluhwein, then we called in at a pub near the station so we could have a sit down in the warm :D

Im off to meet my old school friends at lunch time,we've not had a get together since the summer so that'll be nice.
Dumpling hope the appt goes ok and glad to hear Becky looked well.
Camelot,I'm glad to hear your son has been in touch.

Better go and get ready, have a good day all xx

Morning all, a quick check in sending best wishes to the TA and anyone else who could do with a virtual hug.
Busy day at home today, loads of things to do, I am very achy, I think from a week walking in ice and snow. More ice overnight, it really is quite cold here.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Hello again, I'm back from hunting and gathering :D.
Got everything on the list, well near enough, so I feel a little better now. The shopping center was absolutely freezing in between shops and made my eyes water ! We had to have a coffee and mince pie to warm up ;). It wasn't that busy in the shops, but the queues to the car park when we left, were miles long. I'm glad we made the decision to go early.
Had a phone call from DD last night about little lad with cancer. DGD was missing her pal so much they made him a hamper of stuff, from sweeties to slippers and anything in between, then took it round. The good news is that he has a 90% chance of beating this thing, the bad news is the treatment lasts 3 years and 10 weeks . Anyway DD said he looked quite well and was eating like a horse.
This afternoon I am going to colour my hair, got to look a bit decent for Santa :rotfl:. I shall also wrap the presents that I've bought today. The WM is on ..... again, I could swear the basket was empty last night :( and the DW has been emptied.
TA I am sending my virtual love and support to you and Mr TA. Wish I lived nearer so I could offer real help. Please tell "Margot" to " break a leg". ( But not physically of course :rotfl:)
Specky The pink custard was like a runny yellow custard. The white custard was used with a sponge topped with jam and coconut.
Dumpling Sending gentle hugs to you and your girls, Oh and Steve of course. Glad that Becky looks better and I hope that Phoebe's appointment goes well.
Camelot good news that your DS has been in contact. Long may it continue.
Hugs to all the sleepless, sad or worried, and I hope those who are under the weather get better soon.
PS. Nelski glad that you are on the list for your hip.
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
