Please can anyone help? I bought Ikea kitchen only 3 years ago-the plastic coating has started to peel off the door corners. Ikea sent Ecomaster to inspect said it is wear and tear , I had another inspection said poor quality thin coating cause for deterioration. The kitchen has been well looked after and not had heavy use, all the doors are going the same way. Ikea refusing to compensate in any way and closed my file as Deadlock. How can a kitchen only last 3 years? They say guaranteed for 25 years so how can they dismiss my complaint on a 3year old kitchen?

  • Find the section in their T&C's about disputes. It will tell you which ADR group they use.
    Refer complaint to them.

Essentially If I've read it right you have two 'experts' with differing opinions so you need an ADR or a court to adjudicate now.
