Parking fine not in my name

Hi
Just after my daughter sold her car and left to go travelling abroad, we have received a parking fine letter under her name from the council. She was given a PCN a few days before she left. With the move she clearly forgot to pay the fine and now I am getting threatening letters from the council. I have returned the letters to the council saying she is not at this address but the letters are continuing. Please can someone help with this as I am an elderly man and I can't afford to pay her fine. Thank you

as this is a council matter I suggest you go and join pepipoo forums and post in their fightback section for council tickets
do not use hotmail for signing up, perhaps use gmail instead

Thank you. I would've have paid it for her if it was the original £40 but now it's been 4 months and the fine has increased.0

It won't just go away. You will get bailiffs calling in the end if you don't get her to respond to this last letter and she (not you) must tell them in writing (no phone calls) that she never received a PCN, and get it reset to appeal £40 stage.
Pepipoo will advise on that process:

DO NOT let this go past the New Year, she MUST respond properly, not with an appeal now though. It's not appeal stage, I've described what needs to be said in basic terms but pepipoo will explain the documents needed.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Excpet that would be a lie - she did receive one.
You MUST use Pepipoo. It is unlikely YOU will be able to take much of a part in this process.0 -
OK sorry, I meant to say 'she never received the NTO' (i.e. tell the truth) which is an option in the TEC forms, to get it reset to appeal stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not wishing to worry you but you need to act very quickly. Once the recovery order is issued by Northampton TEC, you will be getting a knock on the door....
