flame effect flicker led bulbs

Does anyone know if you can get the flickering living flame type of led bulb (just youtube flame led bulb) in the UK?

I ordered one off ebay... after changing my search to UK only... and after choosing one from the 6,000 results that came back and ordering it, I found out the UK seller are actually shipping from China.

I've reported this to eBay, as I found out when I looked into it more carefully, every seller I checked was actually shipping from China.

My fault for not noticing the long deliver time, but I now don't have the time to go through each ad one by one checking the legal info, so I wondered, has anyone out there found anywhere in the UK selling these? Ideally on the high street.

I'm hoping to have it delivered by Christmas, and I don't want to pay too much... thought they might have turned up in places like B&M by now but I haven't seen them...

And Googling them is sending me round in circles back to ebayers shipping from overseas.

Cheers.

How much are you willing to pay? Amazon has some that are prime eligible but they aren't cheap.
  • Hi.

Yeah, I've seen some on Amazon but like you say, they're not cheap. I couldn't find anything with a good rating below £15 and the shipping times lead me to believe they'd too be shipped from outside of the UK - likely China, so Prime or not I'd be unlikely to get it in time...

If I can find one for a tenner or less I might take a punt, but I'd be happier if someone had stumbled upon them in a shop somewhere, sees this and shares the info.

redo your search (on ebay) but tick to "click and collect" box , I find only UK sellers offer this

PS "prime" will not be china?

I really don't think you'll find these on the high street as they probably aren't made for the UK market.

Something like this might be an option although they maybe aren't the best that are out there - 2 for £13.99

If amazon says they can be delivered next day then they will not be getting shipped from China.

    THANK YOU

That's really helpful. Well, kind of. All the entries listed as click & collect are £25 & over, the other £6,000 are all cheeky !!!!!!!s cheating, but at least I know of a useful way to make sure UK means UK.

    Cheers.

Do you not have a lighting specialist shop near you? They wont be cheap but you should get a good service.

I think you may have found yourself a potential business :)

Given that even online lighting specialists based in the UK don't seem to stock them I suspect that none of them are currently certified correctly for the UK market.
