Yes, could you explain this? Thank you0 -
If you follow the link to the printer spec page you will see that printer has Bluetooth (with an optional USB adaptor so not out of the box). Bluetooth is a short range wireless connectivity feature. If your computer has Bluetooth and is in the same room as the printer you could potentially use that for wireless printing. Bluetooth is likely for printing images from a phone so it might not work for a computer.Yes, could you explain this? Thank you0 -
You could use the phone as a Wi-Fi access point and connect the printer and Mac to the phone.
Or just connect the Mac to the printer with a usb cable and the phone to the Mac with usb/bluetooth
Or beg/borrow/steal and old unwanted WiFi router0 -
Use apple airprint0

Such as this? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Warranty-Avantree-Bluetooth-Adapter-Keyboard/dp/B00VWEK4IG/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1513259801&sr=1-9&keywords=printer+bluetooth+adapterIf you follow the link to the printer spec page you will see that printer has Bluetooth (with an optional USB adaptor so not out of the box).
Via the phone hotspot? You could use the phone as a Wi-Fi access point and connect the printer and Mac to the phone.Or just connect the Mac to the printer with a usb cable and the phone to the Mac with usb/bluetoot
That would need a USB male to USB male lead?Or beg/borrow/steal and old unwanted WiFi router
I might be able to keep my old router when I cancel fixed line broadband - could this be used without an internet connection?Use apple airprint
I think that needs wifi?0 -
Not sure about that model but most allow printing thorugh "wireless direct" - basically the printer creates a wireless network and then the phone connects to it to print.
Alternatively - Im sure you have a wireless router kicking around in your house.
This does not need an INTERNET connection, but only both devices be connected to it wirelessly0
