Argos scam? I wonder?

I received a message today on my phone. Said from Argos. Good news! It's time to collect your reservation from local Argos Just pop in by 22-05-17 with reservation no. ******
Then second message Hi Terry, There is (1) package waiting for you. Check it here>>
I phoned said Argos outlet and asked if I had a reservation waiting but was told nothing there at the moment.

Is this a scam ?

Most likely "Terry" has input the wrong phone number and is now wondering where his text is.
No scam, anytime I order from Argos I get two texts and a email reminder

Given the date it looks like a scam, the link will probably be to some random site nothing to do with Argos). It's unlikely to be to do with Argos though, you get similar things for all the main retailers.

Yes, it is. I've spoken to Argos Customer Services now and sent a screen shot of the Argos page it appears on.

Have you ordered anything from Argos? if not why would you expect there to be goods there ready for your collection.
