Remote temperature monitoring without going diy?

I have a fairly simple query: monitor the temperature of a detached garage from the house, so I can stick a heater on.
I've done a bit of searching and I don't see anything that doesn't involve a lot of money or work; like an arduino and temp sensor sending data to a server.
Any ideas on something I can largely just plug and play?

Do you want it to turn the heater on?
or
do you want something that just has a remote display.
or
remote display and a remote manual/auto turn on/off0 -
There are plenty of "remote thermometers" available for not too much money - would something like this suffice, just as an example ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/W-8685-WIRELESS-INDOOR-OUTDOOR-THERMOMETER-CLOCK-W8685-/351487000571?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10
I'm curious as to what's in the garage that you want to keep warm;)0 -
There are plenty of wireless thermometers cheaply available on eBay, to monitor the temperature. For the heater a thermostat, the type with a rotary dial from about 10 to 30 deg C...
Am I missing something?0 -

I'm sure I searched that and got nothing
Garage is full of junk that doesn't fit in house but I don't want ruined by cold/damp0 -
Why not forget about remote monitoring and use an electric heater equipped with a thermostat set to your required temperature, for local monitoring!0

I think I'll do both. Thanks everyone

Have a look at these radiators, which are safer than fan heaters, but heating an uninsulated garage will use a lot of electricity, even if its only to a few degrees above freezing.
As you say, its damp thats the real enemy, so ensuring there are no leaks in the garage is key.
Consider using a large fan, eg a ceiling fan, to keep the air moving even when the heaters off.
Also having a good clear out ! if its been put in the garage it probably will never make it back into the house again.
