Monthly car insureance

Hello I would love to insure my son's car for a month while he is home from university for Christmas. I am not getting anywhere because his car is only worth £600, anyone have any advice please? Many thanks

    They won't even start to give me a quote because it is worth so little

    I very much doubt it's how little the car is worth that's the problem.

    Value has little impact in terms of any underwriters thinking. I suspect if you are being declined cover their are other reasons for that.

    Value actually does have a fair impact. In many cases a more expensive car can be cheaper to insure than a banger. Worth more = owner takes more care of it.


    It can affect the quote, although I doubt it is the ultimate factor in their decision.


    Keep looking elsewhere.
