SCS not responding to my complaint

SCS (Sofa carpet specialist) nightmare! We had new carpets fitted 4 weeks ago, the fitters left a razor blade on my 2 year old toddlers window sil, blood stained tissue in our wardrobe, carpet trimmings all over our front drive and the carpet is fitted badly and coming away in places. Customer service are useless, 4 phone calls with each time they say “you’ll get a call by the end of the week” but still no call. Samantha at customer services yesterday said the same thing even after I’ve been waiting for a call back for weeks.

Do not use this company.

Any advice on how to take this further would be much appreciated as SCS say there is nothing further I can do to escalate my complaint, I just need to wait for a call back....
Please help, my young children are tripping over badly fitted carpet! Can I get a refund and get a new carpet fitted properly?

  • Write to them instead?

You call, they say they will call back but don't, you call again. That will go on for as long as they want it to.

If you can demonstrate they didn't use reasonable care and skill you are entitled to a free repeat performance bless this causes a significant inconvenience, in which case you can ask for a price reduction (to reflect the cost of a third party remedy).
  • Take to their social media platforms, you'll soon get someone responding and then you can go from there. Tweet constantly and write on their FB page or posts, keep it polite but firm because they won't want poor publicity. Good luck
  • Can I ask if you got any further with this please and if so how??
We are in a similar situation with SCS after supposedly fitting our carpets.
Unprofessional fitters, rubbish left everywhere, poorly fitted carpet -lifts up in corners and cosmetically poor appearance on the stairs especially.
Contacted store, aftercare department (Samantha again-surname Lewis if you needed that as took me a while to get it) and head office with same response !!!8220;you!!!8217;ll receive a call back in 48 hours!!!8221; time and time again. No response and a horrendous job with no plans to rectify it currently.
    Thanks

We are also in a similar situation with an SCS Carpet. We have been bounced between the store and company HQ, they often don't respond, and now we've been told to sort it out with the fitter. However they will not give us the fitters address because of Data Protection rules, and the fitter doesn't respond to our phone requests. SCS arranged for an independent report on the carpet, and despite promising us a copy, they do not send it.

Has anyone had any success taking through a complaint with SCS?

I bet loads of people have but may not all be members on here to post about it.

You tried a letter with complaint on the letter ?

You tried the furniture ombudsman, although saying that I couldnt see them on there so maybe pointless.

    Try resolver

    Try social media ?

    How did you pay ?
