    Hi
    Thanks for the update.

What model Apollo do you have?

AFAIK they are all room sealed, so CO should not be a serious problem unless the casing has a worn seal or a hole in it.
Was it explained to you the reason / cause for condemning it.?

  • Hello

It is an Apollo Myson I believe, well that is what is written on the outside of it. The gas valve has severe heat damage and there is some plastic around the pump that has melted!! The chap showed me what had happened and whilst it is good to see what they are talking about it is also a little scary to think what might have been as I think that your mind can go a little into overdrive!! I have a four month old daughter who sleeps in the bedroom next the the boiler cupboard and a seven year old boy who has just moved out of that bedroom into another! The actual boiler cupboard is lined with soot although it was like it when we moved in so we had the boiler serviced there and then and was told that it looked like it was an old problem tht had been resolved.

Funny thing is that only last week we were talking about getting insurance for the boiler!!

    Hi

I see!!!! Thanks . I was wondering what could be so bad it was written off, and that is as bad as it gets.
If no one had suffered any headaches in the days leading up to the disconnection then I don't think you will have suffered any CO poisoning.
    Good luck.
