I am quite surprised at the issues this thread raises. My wife gave up paid employment on the birth of our first child almost 30 years ago. We have had a joint account at NatWest for over 30 years and she has had no income since she gave up work.
Two years ago she opened a new Select account with NatWest in her name without any problems whatsoever.0 -
@eskbanker - she went for Lloyds Bank's Classic Account. Although LB might not be in a good condition at the mo,
@RG2015 - perhaps banks are selective?? I don't know - though quite chuffed about HSBC despite us having a sum in investment and banking with them for over 20years.0
