When you’re on call it’s required to keep it with you at all times.
This reminds me of my brother who used to worked for a high end photocopier company.
He and the other guys used to take the pee out of the poor guy who got caught out in the company loo cubicles with thier trousers down when they got a call out.:DThe more I live, the more I learn.
The more I learn, the more I grow.
The more I grow, the more I see.
The more I see, the more I know.
The more I know, the more I see,
How little I know.!!

I'm genuinely surprised that people take their phone to the toilet with them. Is this a common thing?
Look around you. How many people do you know who could live without thier phone to hand, even for five minutes.;)The more I live, the more I learn.

Let’s be honest, they are expensive gimmicks. Your mobile phone will do everything and more than any smart watch. And why would you leave your phone at home on purpose?
If I was spending circa £600 and had an SE I would be very interested in in the iPhone X. You should speak to your husband, I know it would t be a surprise but I wouldn’t mind betting that he doesn’t really want a smart watch.0 -
Ask him if he wants one! Spending nearly £600 on a watch with spurious benefit to him is daft.fforsythuk wrote: »Just wanted some thoughts really on whether it was worth getting this Apple Watch...
My other half has commented that his old watch doesn’t work anymore (just wants a battery!) but it is old and heavily scratched.
So I thought I’d go all out and treat him to an Apple Watch with the cellular option. He has the iPhone SE so believe this is compatible.
It’s an awful lot of money but he never buys himself anything and all his money goes on the house, me and the kids! So thought this would be nice for him.
If he needs a new watch just buy a watch.0 -
One of the benefits of a smart watch is that you lose some of your dependency in the phone. The watch gives you only the most important notifications and so reduces the impulse to constantly check Facebook or twitter or the MSE forums every 5 minutes.Deleted_User wrote: »Let’s be honest, they are expensive gimmicks. Or you could just turn off notifications for the apps you don’t want notifications from. One of the benefits of a smart watch is that you lose some of your dependency in the phone.
