Hi i was wondering if anyone has any ideas or advice, basically BT have taken over £220 out of my direct debit banking account in error and through a DDI claim which BT told me to do) due to this Bt refused to pay back the DDI claim back to my bank and now my bank has charged this payment to my account creating a negative balance and charging £6 a day for going over my account I have no money left until Monday (pay day) I have called bt back and made a complaint on Sunday they advised they are at fault but I have to wait until 5 working days to get my money back !!!!! I told hem I don’t have any money for the rest of the week and need this money back ASAP but still have to wait for a mistake they have made. Bt offered me £10 goodwill which I told them was a joke they told me I had to give them a figure that I would of been happy to accept and see if they would pay it
They are calling me back on Friday as they can’t refund me back any sooner.
Any help and advice will be helpful
Thanks

You should call your bank and get the money refunded under the direct debit guarantee, it should be repaid immediately, there is no "BT refuse to pay bank" The bank refund you and its then between you and BT,0

And not only should you ask for the refund, but you should tell them to cancel the bank charges resulting in BT's error and have them chase them for it too. If they don't then ask to make an official complaint.0 -
My bank already done a DDI claim problem is that when my bank asked BT for the funds back they wouldn’t pay my bank so my bank charged me the funds !!!!! So still no refund and having to wait 5 working days0
