EGIS Server update message- Can't unistall

In the past week on my Acer computer each time I log on to my PC a window appears saying EGIS server want updating, but It will not update. I have gone into my Control Panel and have found the Win Locker which seems to have been installed since I have had my current equipment i believe the Win Locker is what drives the EGIS server) but it won't uninstall. I mention my Acer computer as I have read that the EGIS server is something associated with Acer. How to I rectify please and why has this suddenly started to happen?.

I tried taking the steps suggested in the above post but it does not work it freezes and does nothing. I have also run a full computer scan but this is clear. Any other ideas please.0
