Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem...?
Every time I try to checkout an order and get to part 3 - payment details of the order process it just dumps me back to the start of the basket. I get the same problem on Chrome, Opera, Firefox and IE.
Tried their live chat but all they say is to phone order instead - no help to sort the error. It was doing it yesterday too.

First thing i would check is that you are on the genuine website.
That is classic phishing site behaviour, let you type your card details, harvest them and then dump you on the genuine website homepage so you are none the wiser0 -
I don't even get given the option to enter my card details.0

Given it's Halfords that might be a lucky escape.0

It just for some headlight clips but never mind I will just make a detour from work tomorrow and collect them myself.
I wouldn't buy anything else from Halfords, everything is like 2x the price of ECP, eBay and even Amazon.
Looks like web standards are starting to go out the window again.0 -

I have a friend who works in IT for Halfords, and they have been cutting the number of staff for some time now, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are cutting corners on testing before implementation.0 -
Interesting post, not sure what's going on with Halfords' website but do know, a couple of weeks or so ago, was wanting to buy a present from the site and, yes, it showed https but not a padlock image. Checked this out(?!) on PC and ipad - still no padlock so, despite "assuming" that the page was mostly secure and belonging to Halfords, didn't enter details and bought the same elsewhere thinking that some element of the page eg an image(s) was not secure. Reckon it's better to be as safe as possible in this day and age rather than sorry! Shame really given that Halfords is one of our national brands.0

They are obviously using some crappy scripts on their website and unless your computer and browser are an exact match to their test bench then you are going to have problems.
It's like the old days of sites made for IE6 only.0
