Contacted Debt Recovery Plus

Hi,
I'm sorry if this has been covered, I have read the sticky and I think this question falls outside the info on there. Forgive me if it does not! A friend has received a parking fine from the famous DRP LTD. The advice on here is to IGNORE. I have told him to do that but before he asked me what to do he contacted them via his phone explaining he had broken down and can prove this by giving invoices for the recovery service which had collected him. Does this make any change to his situation now that he has contacted them or can he continue to Ignore?
Many thanks in advance and I'm sorry if this question is covered already.

The best thing would be for him to contact the land owner and get it cancelled.
DRP are debt collectors and do not give out tickets. Do you know who issued the ticket and when? I suspect he is to late to appeal.0 -
DRP ONLY make money if you pay up , they are not charitable , do not expect anything other than written threats from them
THEY WANT YOUR MONEY!!!Save a Rachael

DRP are one of those leech companies who everyone
can ignore as they have ZERO POWER
So your friend does not contact them unless he/she
wants to talk to an out of work double glazing salesperson
DRP TALK COMPLETE RUBBISH, IGNORE THEM:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Post four covers DRP and all other debt collectors completely - whilst post one, paragraph one covers everything else.
DRP cannot "fine" or take action against anyone!
They are also past the time for any appeal, so its either go for a landowner cancellation or prepare for an LBC from the original ticket issuer - which is also fully covered by the sticky, so get them on to it so they are prepared for the possibility.0 -

No.
Question is, will he ignore them when the other letters arrive and he believes his 'debt' has been passed to another company called 'Zenith' yadda yadda... If he has swallowed the first letter so much that he picked up the phone and actually RANG them, then he'll do it again unless he reads and sees for himself that this is all one company that are to be ignored:

Which PPC was it, and what did you learn about whether they sue people much, when you Googled their name/acronym with the words 'BMPA Insight' as the NEWBIES FAQS thread tells people to do? Some never sue.
Was this in England?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
