Double glazing condensation overnight - Help

Options
Hi All

I have moved into a new house with huge double glazed units which overnight when the heating is off and we are expending heat get condensation on them. I have now started making sure I open a window when I get in from work to "dry" the room etc. However I have a daft question perhaps, these units have 2 strings on them at the very top which clearly pull something?!

Any ideas is this like a ventilation flap or something? Any other prevention of condensation tips?

Might be a trickle vent, but you probably need it warmer at night as well. If there's ni heating, you will get condensation.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • OK thanks, I shall also tinker with the heating controller see what I can do to make it warmer overnight.
