Less people are achieving the sales though, falling volumes, less houses on the market, more trying to rent out property they can`t sell show us this. The next stage should be obvious, especially with the Fed tightening?0 -

Sure, you could probably look at statements and take out £100 of (in your opinion) unwarranted spend.
But £100 a month is nothing compared to just the cost of agency fees for renters. Let alone saving deposits.
Your second post says "stay at home for a couple of years longer" as if everything is so easy. What about the thousands of people with children, middle aged renters etc? Move somewhere cheaper - "easy at that"... until you factor in the costs of moving rentals.
There has to be some middle ground. Otherwise we just go around in cirlces pretending everyone can afford to buy a house, they just don't want to - which is an absurd argument I've only ever witnessed on this sub forum or from the greedier landlords trying to clear their conscience.
Many of the posters here are for laughing at, not taking seriously, treat it as entertainment and you will feel much betterThe real problems in the real world though will probably manifest in a JC election win, then things get really interesting. Aberdeen going round the U-bend has to be in The Greatest Internet Troll moments of the century so far though :rotfl:

Obviously everyone cant afford a house because the state has claimed 20% of them so 20% of the population can never be owners thanks to the state
If you ignore the social stock, then almost everyone does become owners.
Only 3% of uk born brits become long term private renters that have been renting for 10+ years
Most private renting in the UK is churn. Like myself who rented for 9 years and then bought0 -
The significant number of people living in poverty may not agree. There is no poverty. No one is starving to death.
^ This.
Herzlos, I wonder how many of those "significant number of people living in poverty" somehow manage to have a television or PAYG mobile phone?Every generation blames the one before...

Just spotted that.
The Aberdeen market has contracted. Congratulations to anyone who got out at the right time, and commiserations to those in a house worth less than they paid for it. How’s that a troll?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

I am officially way below the poverty line, I don't have any problems with house prices. There is a thread on 'poverty' in discussion time'.
Because we are in poverty my daughter is getting a 6 inch alcatel phone for Christmas rather than an iPhone. If anyone feels sorry for her and feels they should pay more tax to lift people like me out of poverty I am opening a just giving page for your donations.I think....0 -
