Christmas & New year payment dates?

I have looked on this board and can not find anything about payment dates over Christmas and New year.

so does anyone have the dates please as i have been told that ESA due on Dec 28th will go in on Dec 27th but the 28th is a normal day so just wanted to check so i can plan what money i will have for Christmas.

I would imagine it is a day early as the banking side would have probably been done earlier, so all though it is paid a day earlier then a normal pay day it would have been processed a lot earlier hence the earlier payout. It is not to help people out over xmas as many people have posted on the internet complaining that it is not paid by 21st as they would expect. I imagine it is purely due to processing payments ahead of usual time.
