I've seen all these phones in Asda for an ok price, I was wondering if there was any better than the other?
Good camera wanted, large screen, usual online use, email, etc.
The person I'm thinking of getting one for their Samsung S5 has stopped working, just won't turn on or even come onto safe screen don't know how to fix it so they've got none now.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S5
Does Samsung Galaxy S5 charge at all ? If not, assuming you don't damage anything, mobile phone battery simply might become flat. I often found this case at my volunteer workshop.
Mobile phone linitum ion battery simply "shut down" (0V) not to accept any charge if it reached a lower voltage (below 3.0-3.5v?) . From the user's point of view, this is a like a sudden death.
Frankly Samsung Galaxy S5 is far far better spec and quality than all of you have seen at ASDA. (well if I would buy a second hand Galaxy S5 rather than ASDA phones of your selection ...)
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6033&idPhone2=8438&idPhone3=8547
For instance: Samsung Galaxy S5
Display : Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors (The same technology used by the latest Samsung S8, iPhone X)
Resolution : 1080 x 1920 pixels (others 720 x 1280 pixels)
Lay persons word: Galaxy S5 has finer more vivid higher contrast display than all of ASDA phones.
If I misunderstand something so sorry, you may want to repair /replace the battery for Samsung Galaxy S5. You can check the battery with a multi-mater very easily etc, if you would be interested in this option, please come back to me
If simple battery replacement won't work, you may give up. but it it works, it would be great as you need a replacement battery for your future use..

Original Battery £8.95

I've said this before when people say that posts about phones should be on that board (so this isn't a dig at you). It seems to me that those boards are in regards to the service providers rather than technical questions (which surely belong on the Techie board). You wouldn't ask about a new laptop on the "Broadband and Internet" board
It's just my opinion but it seems, without new sub-catergories, "what phone should I buy?" belongs here just as much as "what laptop should I buy?"0 -

Don't buy a MOTO C(rap) ! This is a pure disposable phone. Don't be fooled by the price. You will be regret.
It seems that Lenovo (who kept losing smartphone market share) now attempts to destroy the legacy of Motorola with the introduction of Moto C… It is a pure deception to sell this crap spec with Motorola brand.. Even 2013 Moto G is a far better and honest device.

"better to just start manufacturing the motog(2013) again"
" That's what happens when lenovo gets a famous brand under its wing. 1G RAM/8G ROM in 2017... "
"Is it April 1st? "
"Moto Crap"

I have had the G5 now for about 4months and yes its a nice little phone for the priceI choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0
