Am looking at cordless phones for my parents and need to get something ordered, have been looking on amazon at the Panasonic KX-TG6822EB twin dect cordless telephone with answer machine.
Some of the reviews say the volume is low ringing and on the phone and it's not a good a good phone, others like it. Does anyone here have this and is it any good?
They just need two cordless phones, loud ring, answering machine and not a tiny display screen and I'm looking under £50.

I've had a look at the Which reports for both phones and the Gigaset is the clear winner rated as a best buy at 79% compared with 69% for the Panasonic.
Main complaints against the Gigaset is that the handset range is only average (but better than the Panasonic) so if you live in a house with thick walls or would use it some distance from the base station then it could be an issue. Another comment from a user was that the ring tone was quiet but someone else responded and said that there is a range of ringtones built in and some are much louder than others.
Hope this helps.0 -
I own a triple set of Panasonic KX-TG6823EB, for four years now, no issues with ringing or anything else.0

I bought my mum a KX-TGC222EB (twin cordless with answerphone) a while back to replace an ancient phone. She says its fine, no problems with volume etc. Paid £38.95 from Amazon. For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

We own a Gigaset E310 and are both in our early 70's, each wearing 2 hearing aids. The Gigaset is loud and clear enough so that we can take out a hearing aid to use it, with perfect clarity. Not the same phone, screen is much smaller than the C430A, but looks from the website picture to have the same layout of controls.
Have a good, close look at the instruction book, and set it up carefully just how your parents want it. Our daughter hates our phone, says its too loud!
The Gigaset website is also good, I asked for details of a longer cable to the router, which is high on top of a bookshelf. They gave me choices, I ordered one, received and fitted it, works fine.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
