Hi , can I get advise please, The car was parked in Nandos from 10.20 to 10.35, the car park was empty , cos Nandos opens 11.30 I wasn't the driver. The driver was a girl with two year old boy . She parked a car, took buggy out and a boy , read the sign but didn't understood properly, she waited for a friend and tried to enter Nandos, but it was still closed and left. The PCN come from National Parking Enforcement Ltd member of IPC. The notice was issued for parked outside of advertised terms and conditions 100 if in 14 days 60. I seen the appeal template, not sure should I ask in addition for proof of breach of terms and conditions and which part of it was exactly breached? Should I write a letter to Nandos or the girls has to write? Thanks a lot.

You have been sent the PCN/NtK because you are the registered keeper of the car.

You, as the keeper of the car, should appeal using the appropriate template appeal from post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.

    The driver should not respond.

Do not add anything to that template - send it as it is.

the correct template to use is the black text template if its an IPC member

no changes , no alterations, nothing added or removed

    capiche

this appeal comes from the KEEPER, the keeper who received the postal notice , not from the driver

expect a rejection, then its ignore for 6 years unless an LBC or an MCOL arrives in the post

a complaint should be made to either Nandos or the Managing Agent , or the landowner

people need to learn to leave before 10 minutes are up, that is the typical time allowed to comply or leave

if in doubt , get out !!
  • Thanks a lot for your reply's. Just one more question. The car was parked 01.12 , the notice was issued 06.12, letter come 08.12 they used ANPR camera. Then is the best time to send appeal? I will write complain to Nandos ASAP. Thanks

Shall we assume those numbers represent dates in December?

Send the appeal when you like... within the time limit mentioned on the NtK.

It doesn't matter because you will get a rejection letter, it's just a pointless exercise to look willing to engage (once) in case NPE ever try a claim later.

No need to overthink this, there is no BEST time to send a pointless IPC appeal...
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Spoke with one of the Nandos managers, he sed he can see a video how a girl reads a sign and after pushes pram to high street. Looks like they recording more then car park. Didn’t agree to cancel the charge. Hope Nando’s head office will be more understanding .

I would post a very uncomplimentary account on Facebook and TripAdvisor, a fifteen minute stay in the circumstances you describe is not unreasonable, whereas the PPCs action smacks at a penalty.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
