`Has anyone got the same problem?

I assume this is down to the new windows 10 update?

I've got a Microsoft Windows keyboard 800 PS/2 keyboard attached wirelessly to a Toshiba Satellite C660, although the Toshiba Keyboard itself has the same problem, many of the shift characters such as the Pound and hash characters are wrong. OS is Windows 10 version 1709

I've downloaded UK language for windows but this doesn't do anything

Thanks in advance for any suggestions to fix this.

Possible that the language setting has changed to US English? Can be checked/changed in Settings/region & language

This isn't a Windows 10 issue but unless you specifically state in every setup box going that you are in the UK and want a UK keyboard, UK formatting and UK anything, Windows will default to a US keyboard (and occasionally will just totally ignore anything you tell it). US keyboards don't have a £ or a € symbol, there's no Alt GR key (just a second Alt), the " and @ symbols are swapped over and some other minor differences too.

Apologies for the pendency but laptop US keyboards do have the altGr
Its the only bloody way to get a backslash :(

OP - Hold down the windows key and press space . That will let you switch between input methods

Well, it seems to have fixed itself this morning on a restart, perhaps in conjunction with what I mentioned in the OP. It's OK now anyway.

Just another reminder of which country rules the world!

I'm not sure how I did it, but I managed to remove the american language option from my W10 completely! :T
