Financial Probity

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me with some advice. I am currently in a debt management plan and I got an offer of employment subject to aviation background checks which includes financial probity checks. It isn't a job that handles any money nor a senior role. Does anyone have any experience with this? I will have a defaults on my credit file, but I am handing my debts situation via my DMP. Will this result in the offer withdrawn?
Your inputs will be appreciated.

Yup I've had one prior to bonding due to getting a part-time cashier's job. But it was an ID check in my credit history and not a hard credit search. It was demanded by the insurance company which provided the bond.
For what it's worth the DMP itself will not appear on your credit history but your financial history and defaults will appear. I suspect that the company doing the probity check which may not necessarily be your proposed employer will compare information in your credit history with the information you provided on the application form.
Ask your DMP manager if they can contact your creditors to have defaults removed or at least to avoid any new defaults if they have not already done so.0 -
I got my first professional pilot job while still in my DMP (multiple active defaults at the time) and had no issue with the Disclosure Scotland, airside pass or any other of the multitude of checks you go through.
I was given a key to a large fleet of jets worth $10 million and didn’t once try to offer them as final settlement to Cabot ... well maybe once ;-)
The only way to find out is to go for it :-)0 -
Thank you for all the replies!
The offer to Cabot line was hilarious, it really made me giggle, so an extra thank you for that.0
