Our floor standing boiler needs to be moved, we're changing over to a combi system and removing the tanks. The company we had booked advised to replace all the existing microbore pipes and radiators, British gas also quoted for the job and advised the pipes and radiators would be fine with a powerflush.
Any pointers on how we determine who was right ? New pipes is obviously a much bigger job but we don't want to add a whole new system onto rubbish pipework. Currently the system works really well however there's lots of knocking and banging when it's heating up.
Thanks in advance !

I' m no heating engineer but knocking and banging suggests to me that there is restricted flow in the pipework and/or radiators. From reading other posters on this thread I believe modern boilers are more sensitive to debris in the system than the boiler you have at present.0
