I have a mini travel speaker which I want to connect to my tablet's earphone jack socket. I have lost the cable and need to replace it.I think the connection on the speaker is a mini-b usb and on the tablet is a mini male auxiliary jack ( where you usually plug in the headphones.) but I cannot see any cable like this for sale. have I got the terminology wrong?

It is a technika nothing special. Here it is on Amazon (discontinued). https://www.amazon.co.uk/Technika-Mini-Travel-Speakers-Purple/dp/B00BCJSJEW
The socket end on the speaker is rhomboid shaped if that makes sense
actually this shows the speaker end connection although this is not the model I have it looks similar. it is so cheap just might as well buy a new one i think!

You can't usually connect an analogue earphone jack to a digital USB socket, sounds like it come with a modified cable - maybe like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/TECHGEAR%C2%AE-2in1-Cable-Connection-Compatible/dp/B00MFLPN040

I think the socket you see on the speaker is mini (not micro) USB and is for charging (and possibly some degree of computer uploading if it has onboard memory/takes memory cards). There's likely to be something separate for playing audio into it, or it's a VERY non-standard use of mini-USB, which would be unusual.
Is there a 3.5mm hole on there anywhere?0 -
it's curious because the Trixes ext speaker I linked to above looks almost identical except it has a built in jack connector and a mini usb separate which seems to be for charging. I have looked all over the technika and there is no jack connecter and nowhere for one to connect, nothing?0
